In this vital role, you will operate various heavy equipment—including forklifts, reach trucks, clamp trucks, and Hi-Lo loaders—to efficiently load, unload, and transport materials throughout the warehouse. Your expertise in warehouse management systems and order picking will ensure that shipments are accurate and timely. This position offers an exciting opportunity to showcase your mechanical knowledge and materials handling skills while contributing to a fast-paced distribution environment that values safety, accuracy, and teamwork. Responsibilities Safely operate forklifts, reach trucks, clamp trucks, pallet jacks, and other heavy equipment to load and unload shipments with precision. Pick, pack, and prepare orders using order picker equipment and warehouse management systems to ensure accuracy. Assist with inventory management by conducting regular stock counts, cycle counts, and updating warehouse records. Support shipping and receiving processes by verifying inbound and outbound shipments for accuracy and condition. Perform routine equipment inspections, basic repairs, and maintenance tasks to ensure machinery operates smoothly. Maintain a clean and organized work environment by properly storing materials and adhering to safety protocols outlined by OSHA standards. Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to optimize workflow, improve storage solutions, and enhance overall warehouse distribution efficiency. Requirements Proven experience operating forklifts (including lift trucks), reach trucks, clamp trucks, Hi-Lo loaders, and pallet jacks in a warehouse setting. Strong understanding of warehouse management systems (WMS) for inventory tracking and order processing. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining proper ergonomic practices. Mechanical aptitude with basic repair skills for equipment maintenance. Knowledge of OSHA safety regulations related to heavy equipment operation and materials handling. Basic math skills for counting, measuring, and verifying shipments accurately. Prior experience in shipping & receiving or warehouse distribution is highly desirable.
