Join a dynamic team dedicated to efficient material handling and logistics within a manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for operating industrial trucks, tractors, and forklifts to move materials, supplies, and finished products throughout the facility safely and efficiently.Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts, industrial trucks, and similar equipment to transport materials to and from storage, production lines, and shipping areas
- Load and unload materials using mechanical equipment, ensuring proper placement and secure transport
- Inspect and maintain assigned vehicles, reporting any mechanical issues or damage to supervisors
- Adhere to company safety protocols and guidelines, maintaining a safe working environment for yourself and others
- Accurately record material movements and inventory transactions using handheld devices or paper logs
- Assist with inventory counts, cycle checks, and warehouse organization as needed
- Support production teams by delivering raw materials and removing finished products in a timely manner
- Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of work areas and equipment
- Communicate effectively with supervisors, team members, and other departments to coordinate material flows
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Prior experience operating forklifts or industrial trucks in a manufacturing or warehouse setting strongly desired
- Valid industrial equipment certification or willingness to obtain certification through company training
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks associated with moving materials
- Basic math and reading skills for inventory and recordkeeping
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety standards
- Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
- Flexibility to work various shifts, overtime, or weekends as required This position offers the opportunity to contribute to a fast-paced manufacturing team focused on quality and efficiency.
