Job Description
```
Duties:
- Operate forklift to move, stack, and retrieve materials within a warehouse or distribution center
- Load and unload trucks using a forklift or other heavy equipment
- Safely transport materials to designated areas using proper equipment and techniques
- Perform routine maintenance on forklifts and other equipment as needed
- Follow safety procedures and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment
- Maintain accurate records of inventory and materials movement
Requirements:
- Previous experience operating heavy equipment, specifically forklifts, in a warehouse or distribution center setting
- Strong knowledge of warehouse operations and procedures
- Basic math skills for inventory tracking and calculations
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) is a plus
- Ability to operate different types of forklifts, such as clamp trucks and pallet jacks
- Physical stamina to perform heavy lifting and materials handling tasks
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team
