Job Description

We are currently looking for a full-time Import Receiving/Forklift Operator. This position will be located at: 1907 Peyco Dr N Arlington, Tx 76001 Hours are Monday thru Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm

•Must be able to drive a forklift and have the ability to read a tape measure

•Position Summary We are looking for a dependable person to join our Import Receiving Department. This position is responsible for receiving incoming shipments, unloading flatbed trucks, inspecting materials, and putting products away in their assigned locations. The job is straightforward, but safety is extremely important, especially when unloading and handling long pieces of 60-foot rebar. Job Responsibilities Receive and check in incoming trucks and shipments Unload 60-foot rebar and other metal materials from flatbed trailers Safely operate a 22,000-lb. sit-down forklift Operate a stand-up reach truck as needed Move materials to their assigned warehouse locations Read and verify receiving paperwork Check metal templates and incoming materials to make sure they are correct and meet specifications Use an RF scanner and computer to receive and track materials Report damaged, incorrect, or out-of-spec materials Keep the receiving area clean and organized Follow all company safety procedures Wear required PPE, including steel-toe boots and other required safety equipment Requirements Previous forklift experience preferred Must be comfortable operating a heavy-capacity sit-down forklift Must be able to safely handle long and heavy metal materials Basic computer skills Able to read and follow paperwork and instructions Good attention to detail Dependable and safety-minded Willing to learn our receiving and inventory procedures Must follow all required PPE and safety rules Important Safety Requirement Safe operation of the forklift and proper handling of 60-foot rebar is a critical part of this position. The ability to recognize hazards, follow procedures, and work safely around heavy materials is required. $18.00 per hour | Full-Time | Stable Work |

Training Provided Requirements:

Previous warehouse, shipping, or receiving experience; forklift certification is often preferred.

Physical Ability:

Lift up to 50-75 lbs. and stand or walk for long periods.

Skills:

Strong attention to detail, basic math, and clear communication.
