Job Description
Job Overview:
We are seeking a reliable and skilled Forklift Operator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating heavy machinery in a warehouse environment, ensuring efficient and safe material handling practices. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of warehouse operations and be able to work in a fast-paced environment.Responsibilities:
- Operate a forklift, pallet jack, or clamp truck to load and unload materials from trailers and storage areas.
- Conduct routine checks on equipment to ensure proper functioning and perform minor repairs as necessary.
- Utilize warehouse management systems to track inventory levels and manage storage areas.
- Load and unload materials using heavy equipment operation skills.
- Follow OSHA guidelines to maintain a safe and clean working environment.
- Collaborate with warehouse supervisor and other team members to meet production and inventory targets.
- Operate an order picker to retrieve items from storage areas.
- Perform tasks related to equipment maintenance and repair.
- Demonstrate mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot and repair equipment as needed.
- Participate in training programs to improve knowledge of warehouse operations and safety procedures.
Skills:
- Proven experience operating a forklift, pallet jack, or clamp truck.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems and the ability to use them effectively.
- Strong knowledge of heavy equipment operation and maintenance.
- Ability to load and unload materials safely and efficiently.
- Basic mechanical knowledge to perform minor equipment repairs.
- Experience working in a warehouse environment and adhering to OSHA guidelines.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet production and inventory targets.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Job Type:
Full-time Pay:
$18.00- $20.
