Job Overview:

We are seeking a reliable and skilled Forklift Operator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating heavy machinery in a warehouse environment, ensuring efficient and safe material handling practices. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of warehouse operations and be able to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Operate a forklift, pallet jack, or clamp truck to load and unload materials from trailers and storage areas.
• Conduct routine checks on equipment to ensure proper functioning and perform minor repairs as necessary.
• Utilize warehouse management systems to track inventory levels and manage storage areas.
• Load and unload materials using heavy equipment operation skills.
• Follow OSHA guidelines to maintain a safe and clean working environment.
• Collaborate with warehouse supervisor and other team members to meet production and inventory targets.
• Operate an order picker to retrieve items from storage areas.
• Perform tasks related to equipment maintenance and repair.
• Demonstrate mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot and repair equipment as needed.
• Participate in training programs to improve knowledge of warehouse operations and safety procedures.

Skills:

• Proven experience operating a forklift, pallet jack, or clamp truck.
• Familiarity with warehouse management systems and the ability to use them effectively.
• Strong knowledge of heavy equipment operation and maintenance.
• Ability to load and unload materials safely and efficiently.
• Basic mechanical knowledge to perform minor equipment repairs.
• Experience working in a warehouse environment and adhering to OSHA guidelines.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet production and inventory targets.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
