Job Description

The Distribution Center Forklift Operator plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth flow of finished product distribution. This position is responsible for loading outbound trucks, reworking flawed pallets, checking in visiting trucks, and performing additional tasks as assigned by the Distribution Center Supervisor to support company production goals. Operate a forklift safely and efficiently. Review receiving reports of predicted loads, unloads, and stack products for future shipment. Load products onto outbound trucks in accordance with customer order requirements. Accurately record lot and pallet numbers for fertilizer pallets. Check in visiting trucks, provide drivers with paperwork, and use the computer system for documentation. Restack or troubleshoot flawed pallets and products. Return the flawed finished product to production for rework. Break down pallets and perform housekeeping duties as assigned. Work Relationships and Scope Reports directly to the Distribution Center Supervisor. Works closely with other forklift operators and interacts with visiting truck drivers. Acts as a key team member supporting efficient product distribution. Performance Dimensions Maintain positive, professional interactions with coworkers. Follow all company policies, procedures, and safety guidelines. Promote teamwork and support coworkers. Seek opportunities for learning and skill development.
