Lions Tigers & Bears (LTB) is a nationally respected nonprofit animal sanctuary committed to rescue, education, and advocacy. Through donor support and community partnerships, we provide lifelong care to exotic animals rescued from abuse, neglect, and exploitation. Position Summary The Fundraising Coordinator is a development position that supports Lions Tigers & Bears' fundraising efforts across campaigns, events, donor communications, and data management. This role focuses on execution, coordination, and donor stewardship under the guidance of senior leadership. This position offers hands-on exposure to all areas of nonprofit fundraising and opportunities for professional growth within the development field. The Fundraising Coordinator partners closely with the Development Director and the Founder to ensure the development plan is executed and successful. The ideal candidate is organized, enthusiastic, detail-oriented, and interested in building a career in nonprofit fundraising. Key Responsibilities Fundraising Support & Execution Assist with the execution of annual appeals, membership drives, and special campaigns (e.g., Giving Tuesday, year-end giving). Support donor outreach efforts, including follow-up emails, calls, and meeting coordination. Help prepare fundraising materials, sponsorship packets, and donor communications. Track fundraising activities and assist with reporting on campaign performance. Donor Relations & Stewardship Support donor acknowledgment processes, including thank-you letters and impact communications. Maintain accurate donor records in DonorPerfect, ensuring data integrity and proper coding. Assist with donor research and prospect tracking. Help coordinate donor meetings and stewardship activities. Events, Corporate & Community Engagement Assist with fundraising events, including logistics, sponsorship fulfillment, and on-site support. Help research potential corporate sponsors and community partners. Represent Lions Tigers & Bears at select community events as needed. Administration & Project Coordination Support multiple fundraising projects simultaneously by tracking timelines and deliverables. Assist with grant-related research and preparation by gathering program data and stories. Collaborate with staff and volunteers to ensure fundraising activities are well-organized and mission-aligned. Volunteer Support Coordinate with the Volunteer Coordinator to support volunteer needs for fundraising events. Assist with updating volunteer role descriptions related to fundraising activities. Qualifications & Skills Required Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience. 1-2 years of nonprofit fundraising or relevant administrative, communications, or coordination experience. Strong organizational and administrative skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office. Maintain accurate donor records in the organization's CRM (DonorPerfect) Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Valid California driver's license and reliable transportation to attend off-site donor meetings, events, and organizational functions. Willingness to learn donor cultivation and fundraising best practices.
