Job Description

Description We are looking for a relationship-focused Fundraising Officer to support donor outreach, annual giving efforts, and stewardship initiatives in Honolulu, Hawaii. This contract position with potential for a permanent role is ideal for someone who can combine strong communication skills, sound judgment, and organized execution to help expand donor participation and strengthen long-term engagement. The role works closely with internal partners to coordinate campaigns, manage fundraising activities, and use donor insights to guide strategy and revenue growth. Responsibilities:
  • Lead day-to-day fundraising activities that support annual giving goals, donor engagement efforts, and overall revenue development.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with donors, prospects, and community partners to encourage ongoing involvement and support.
  • Plan and execute fundraising campaigns, outreach initiatives, and events that increase participation and deepen donor commitment.
  • Prepare donor communications and stewardship materials that reflect organizational priorities and strengthen constituent relationships.
  • Review giving trends and donor information to identify opportunities, improve retention, and inform fundraising strategy.
  • Partner with internal teams to align development efforts, coordinate project timelines, and support broader advancement objectives.
  • Assist with development operations, including tracking campaign progress, organizing fundraising activities, and maintaining accurate records.
  • Contribute to business development efforts by identifying new giving opportunities and supporting initiatives that expand fundraising reach. Requirements
  • At least 2 years of experience in fundraising, development, business development, or a closely related role.
  • Demonstrated ability to cultivate relationships and communicate effectively with donors, partners, and internal stakeholders.
  • Experience supporting or coordinating fundraising campaigns, annual giving programs, or donor engagement initiatives.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities, timelines, and event-related details.
  • Ability to analyze donor or campaign data and apply insights to improve outreach and fundraising performance.
  • Background in event planning or coordinating donor-facing activities is preferred.
  • Proficiency in written and verbal communication, with the ability to create clear and thoughtful donor correspondence and stewardship materials.
