Work Type:

Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree 10 years of progressive fundraising experience including a proven record of successfully securing major and principal gifts 5 years of leadership experience
Summary:
Responsible for planning, developing, and administering a comprehensive, best-practice based development program that advances the mission of both Blue Hill and Maine Coast Hospitals, and Northern Light Health.
Responsibilities:
Develop, implement, evaluate and refine a comprehensive fundraising plan for both hospitals including annual, special events, major and lead gifts, capital campaigns, and planned giving. Oversee comprehensive, results-oriented donor relations program that demonstrates to donors the difference they make at both hospitals. Provide leadership and strategies for ongoing and emerging capital campaigns and major gift initiatives that benefit Blue Hill and Maine Coast Hospitals and overarching Northern Light Health system priorities. Achieve realistic and quantifiable goals based on mutually agreed upon fundraising targets that will be the primary performance standards used to measure fundraising success. Manage a portfolio of approximately 125 major and principal gift donors and prospects, utilizing relationship and moves management strategies. Collaboratively set goals for the number of substantive donor visits; solicitations/proposals to be submitted; and funds to be raised each year. Work closely with Northern Light Health member presidents to keep informed and engaged with donors, fundraising activities, and collaborate on funding priorities that would appeal to donors for philanthropic support. Promote a culture of philanthropy across member organizations; build philanthropic awareness through physicians, nurses, clinical and support staff, one-on-one medical staff meetings, and maintaining a presence in the clinical units. Oversee the development of case materials and proposal communications materials needed for major gift and capital campaign fundraising. Work closely with Director of Corporate and Foundation Relations to coordinate corporate and grant funding opportunities. Work closely with Community Relations to ensure a coordinated message across the member organizations, and in the creation of donor-focused collateral materials, annual appeals, campaigns, and special event print needs Work closely with Director of Planned Giving and staff to develop strategies to establish a planned giving program including a planned giving society. Supervise and mentor one to two philanthropy staff.
