"The Reg" is a 103 year old theater that presents live performances from worldwide touring professionals, rentals for our Community Partners, a weekly movie series, and holds the broadcasting license for WRFA-LP, Radio for the Arts. A strategic plan was recently adopted, with capacity and organizational goals to reach through 2027.
JOB SUMMARY
The Reg seeks a creative and highly motivated individual to lead our development efforts. The Director of Development will work collaboratively with staff, board of directors, and increase partnerships with community organizations. They will focus their efforts on donor engagement, meeting or surpassing strategic goals, and the development of relationships and sponsorships to increase our community impact. They will oversee annual giving, memberships, planned giving, and assist the ED with grant writing. The ideal candidate will have proven competencies in building fundraising programs and meeting fundraising goals. A familiarity with Jamestown and the WNY region would be an advantage.

Designs and oversee annual giving, fundraisers, and envision new fundraising strategies. Regularly work with Director of Marketing and provide leadership to the Board Development Committee. Foster an organization-wide culture of giving.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Works with the Executive Director to determine the mission, purpose, and priorities of the organization. Sets annual monetary goals and budgets according to short- and long-term goals and establishes fundraising objectives for the organization. Establishes and directs fundraising programs and sources for the organization to include planned giving, annual fund, capital campaign, grant and public funding and special ad hoc fundraising events. Establishes a major gifts program including the identification, cultivation, and solicitation of donors. Establishes, cultivates, and maintains relationships with donors and potential donors on a continual basis. This includes verbal and written communication and personal contact. Thanks donors, informing them of their impact, and of the organization. Produces relevant and informative fundraising literature for distribution to previous donors and the public. Oversees the fundraising process and maintains records of receipts and disbursements of funds. Oversees all other fundraising support activities to include the database and tracking system, creation of publications, gift recognition programs and prospect research.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's Degree preferred (business, communications, marketing, public relations or related field); or any equivalent combination of training, education, and experience that demonstrated the ability to perform the duties of the position. Minimum 3 years of experience in fundraising, sales, or marketing preferred. Previous experience in community outreach Demonstrated expertise with fundraising software.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

COMPENSATION
The starting salary is between $57,000 and $65,000 plus benefits. Salary is commensurate with experience and subject to escalation based on annual review.
