$127,446.74-$191,159.28/year Job Summary The Director of Development will be responsible for identifying, qualifying, cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding prospective and existing donors capable of making significant contributions of $10,000+ to WPH, with a particular focus on securing gifts of $100,000 or more . This position will work closely with physicians to develop Grateful Patient fundraising opportunities and support the Hospital's strategic fundraising priorities. The Director will collaborate with senior leadership and report to the Senior Director, Major Gifts . Required Qualifications Bachelor's Degree required Master's Degree preferred 5-10 years of progressively responsible fundraising/development experience required Non-profit fundraising experience required; hospital/healthcare experience preferred Strong written and analytical skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills Strong interpersonal and relationship-building abilities Excellent teamwork and adaptability Strong organization, planning, and delegation skills Ability to manage multiple priorities and tasks effectively Strong problem-solving, judgment, and decision-making skills Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines Strong attention to detail with the ability to work through frequent interruptions Key Responsibilities Manage a portfolio of 100-150 individual donors capable of making gifts of $10,000+, with a focus on $100K+ major gifts . Build and maintain strong donor relationships through personalized interactions, including identification, cultivation, solicitation, communication, and stewardship. Identify and qualify new donor prospects in partnership with the Senior Director, Major Gifts, SVP, senior leadership, physicians, and Board volunteers . Partner regularly with assigned physicians to develop and advance Grateful Patient fundraising opportunities . Cultivate prospective and existing donors through meetings, phone calls, written communications, events, and stewardship activities. Solicit and secure major gifts from new prospects and existing donors. Develop compelling donor proposals, communications, reports, and stewardship materials. Partner with the Foundation Board of Directors in donor cultivation and solicitation activities. Collaborate with the SVP and development team to support cultivation events, including guest-list development and event briefings. Maintain a comprehensive understanding of WPH's programs, services, and capital priorities to effectively communicate funding opportunities to donors. Accurately document donor interactions, portfolio activity, and communications in RE NXT in a timely manner. Maintain professionalism and adhere to WPH Performance Standards, policies, and organizational behaviors. Perform other related duties as assigned. #perm2026
