$70,000-$90,000 | Hybrid /Flexible Work Environment The National First Ladies Library & Museum seeks a visionary, results-driven Development Director to lead transformational fundraising initiatives at a nationally recognized institution preserving the legacies of America's First Ladies. This is a high-profile leadership role with national visibility, offering the opportunity to shape the organization's future and leave a lasting mark on history, education, and culture. About the Role Reporting to the CEO, the Development Director will drive all aspects of development, including major gifts, annual giving, corporate and foundation partnerships, and donor stewardship. This role is perfect for a strategic, relationship-focused professional, whether you come from fundraising, sales, or business development, who is passionate about history, culture, and education and ready to make a national impact. Key Responsibilities Design and execute a comprehensive development strategy that delivers immediate results and long-term growth. Identify, cultivate, and steward relationships with major donors, foundations, corporations, and government partners. Lead high-profile donor engagement initiatives, including signature events and experiential programs that showcase the mission and impact. Collaborate across departments to integrate fundraising, marketing, and programming goals. Bring your results-driven mindset, if you can sell it, we can teach the history and mission. Skills & Qualifications Proven success in fundraising, sales, business development, or relationship-driven roles. Exceptional relationship-building and communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling narratives that inspire support. Strategic thinker with experience analyzing data, setting priorities, and aligning goals with organizational mission. Passion for history, culture, and education, aligned with the mission of the National First Ladies Library & Museum. Comfort leading events, campaigns, and initiatives that elevate the organization's national profile.
