About the Role Reporting to the CEO, the Development Director will drive all aspects of development, including major gifts, annual giving, corporate and foundation partnerships, and donor stewardship. This role is perfect for a strategic, relationship-focused professional, whether you come from fundraising, sales, or business development, who is passionate about history, culture, and education and ready to make a national impact. Key Responsibilities Design and execute a comprehensive development strategy that delivers immediate results and long-term growth. Identify, cultivate, and steward relationships with major donors, foundations, corporations, and government partners. Lead high-profile donor engagement initiatives, including signature events and experiential programs that showcase the mission and impact. Collaborate across departments to integrate fundraising, marketing, and programming goals. Bring your results-driven mindset, if you can sell it, we can teach the history and mission. Skills & Qualifications Proven success in fundraising, sales, business development, or relationship-driven roles. Exceptional relationship-building and communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling narratives that inspire support. Strategic thinker with experience analyzing data, setting priorities, and aligning goals with organizational mission. Passion for history, culture, and education, aligned with the mission of the National First Ladies Library & Museum.
