Job Description

Part-Time Grant Writer Ace of Hearts Dog Rescue is seeking an experienced Grant Writer to help secure funding for our 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. We are dedicated to rescuing dogs of all ages, sizes, and breeds and preventing euthanasia by finding them stable, loving homes.
Position Details Part-time:
5-10 hours per week
Compensation:
$30/hour Hours coordinated based on grant deadlines and organizational needs This is an in-office position in Laurel Canyon Responsibilities Research and identify grant opportunities aligned with Ace of Hearts' mission and programs Write, edit, and submit compelling grant proposals, letters of inquiry, and funding applications Maintain a calendar of grant deadlines and reporting requirements Gather information and documentation needed for applications and reports Work with staff to develop grant narratives, budgets, and supporting materials Track grant submissions, awards, and follow-up communications Assist with grant reporting and stewardship of existing funders Develop and maintain relationships with foundations and other potential funding sources Other related fundraising responsibilities as needed Other organizational responsibilites as needed Requirements Demonstrated nonprofit grant writing experience is required Proven ability to research, write, and submit successful grant proposals Excellent writing, editing, and communication skills Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines independently Highly organized and able to manage multiple grant opportunities simultaneously Strong computer skills, including Google Docs, Google Drive, and Google Calendar Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently Passion for animal rescue and a genuine commitment to Ace of Hearts' mission Experience with animal welfare or nonprofit organizations is a plus About Ace of Hearts Dog Rescue Ace of Hearts Dog Rescue is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization committed to saving dogs from euthanasia and placing them in stable, loving homes. All of our dogs are cared for through a network of dedicated foster homes rather than a traditional shelter facility. Pay:
$30.00 per hour
