Job Description
Development Coordinator Connect Senior Services has been a non-profit serving seniors for over 50 years. We believe in the power of connection, joy, and faith to transform lives. We provide opportunities for seniors to experience these through a thriving community that provides housing, events, dining and need based services. We look to help eliminate food scarcity, social isolation, and to provide fair priced housing. We want people who are passionate about these same goals and our vision. As our development coordinator you will oversee our development program: you will solicit gifts, plan and hold events, develop fundraising materials, and you will meet frequently with current and potential donors. Working each day to connect donors' philanthropic interests with our ministry priorities, you will blend your professional knowledge, relationship building skills and talent with philanthropic strategies. The development officer will play a key role in our development program to help identify, qualify, cultivate, solicit, and steward major gifts to UplandManor.
Responsibilities:
- Project manage peer-to-peer fundraising events for the organization
- Project manage distinguished events (ex. Annual Gala); coordinate volunteers, secure table sponsorships, etc .
- Assume full responsibility for various fundraising efforts including product sales, obtaining items for sale in auctions and acquiring donations
- Partner with CEO to generate organizational collateral
- Steward volunteers and elevate advocates to supporting fundraising events
- Manage individual donor portfolio utilizing CRM; maintain accurate data and run reports from system
- Acts as a thought leader in the development area and contributes new and innovative approaches or ideas
- Works closely with ED and other team members to strategize & implement Development initiatives
- Cultivate relationships with donors (small and large), businesses and churches .
- Maintain development communications and social media platforms.
- Engage in regular development and leadership training.
- Participate and manage capital campaigns as needed.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree required, Master's or relevant certification, a plus
- 1-3+ years of professional experience in the development field, preferably event-, or individual-giving focused
- Project management skills and ability to navigate in a fast-paced environment with a solid track-record of following through on commitments
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; written and verbal fluency, Spanish, or another language, a plus
- Willing and able to travel domestically, on occasion
