Responsibilities:
Research and evaluate funding opportunities from foundations, corporations, and government agencies Draft grant proposals, letters of inquiry, and supporting reports aligned with organizational priorities Review requests for proposals and assess requirements to determine proposal strategy and approach Collaborate with program staff to gather information, develop narratives, and support budget preparation Track deadlines, submissions, and reporting requirements while ensuring compliance with funder guidelines
Qualifications:
Minimum of 5 years of grant writing experience, preferably in the nonprofit sector Experience reviewing, evaluating and submitting grants in NYC, state and federal portals required Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, Non-Profit Management, or a related field Direct experience with government grant writing
Desired Skills:
Master's Degree Experience in the Nonprofit sector Experience with Grant Management software and Microsoft Office Suite Familiarity with Grant portals such as JustGrants, Grants.gov, and PASSPort
