Description Statement of Responsibilities:

The Director of Development provides strategic leadership for fundraising, donor engagement, and external communications for Library. This position leads efforts to secure financial support through individual giving, grants, corporate sponsorships, special events, and donor stewardship. Working closely with the executive director, board members, and community stakeholders, the Director of Development builds philanthropic support, elevated the library's visibility, and strengthens community relationships. The Director of Development plays a critical role in advancing the library's mission by building strong relationships and cultivating long-term sustainability and growth by securing resources, amplifying its mission, and deepening its connections to the community.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree required. Master's degree or CFRE preferred. Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive experience in nonprofit fundraising, development, and communications. Strong grant writing and creative storytelling skills. Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills. Ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders. Experience with donor databases/CRM systems and digital marketing tools. Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Current valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
