Office or Hybrid Position Overview:
The Development Manager (Grants & Annual Giving) plays a key role in sustaining and growing the resources that make our survivor-centered services possible. As our organization's dedicated development staff member, the Development Manager has primary responsibility for grant writing and management and for the development and execution of our annual giving campaign. The Development Manager works closely with the Executive Director and program leadership to align fundraising priorities with organizational goals and receives their support in devising strategies, relationship-building and gathering program and financial information needed for proposals and reports. This role is well-suited to a development professional who is both strategic and hands-on. In a small, collaborative organization, the Development Manager manages multiple priorities, meets firm deadlines, and translates our work and its aims into clear, compelling fundraising narratives. The position requires strong writing skills and attention to detail as well as a commitment to equity, survivor-centered approaches and ethical fundraising. Foundation funding is currently this role's primary focus; the Development Manager will be responsible for raising approximately $500,000-$600,000 annually through grants. However, the position is open to evolution as we grow our donor base and work toward a more balanced mix of grant and individual giving, offering opportunities to deepen donor relations and annual giving work over time. If you are motivated by mission-driven work and want to use your development skills to make a profound impact on survivors' lives and on long-term community change, we encourage you to apply.

  • Develop an application schedule and strategies to secure $500,000 - $600,000 annually for yearly operations and special projects.

About Jackson County SART:
We formed in 2004 to radically reshape care for survivors of sexual violence and help support their healing. Our innovative programs have helped drive change across the state while providing free, life-saving services to survivors in Jackson and Josephine Counties, as well as to survivors who come to us from outside the region. Survivors receive 24/7 skilled, compassionate care from specially-trained Forensic Nurse Examiners, along with ongoing emotional support and assistance accessing such critical resources as safe housing and counseling. In 2025, we expanded our immediate care to include domestic violence survivors, addressing a major gap in state and local DV services. We are also deeply committed to preventing gender-based violence before it begins. Our K-12 healthy relationships program reaches thousands of Jackson County students and parents each year. We also offer community education and partner with local businesses interested in building harassment-free workplaces. We are a small, supportive, close-knit team, and we welcome your expertise, your commitment and your passion.
