Raise support. Change lives. Scouting Arizona is looking for an energetic, relationship-focused Development Officer to help grow philanthropic support for Scouting across Arizona. This is an opportunity for someone who enjoys meeting people, building trust, taking initiative, and seeing the results of their work. Fundraising experience is helpful but not required. We are looking for someone with curiosity, confidence, persistence, and follow-through who wants to build a career in fundraising while making a meaningful difference for young people. What You'll Do As a front-line fundraiser, you will manage and grow a portfolio of 120+ current and prospective donors. With coaching and support from experienced development leaders, you will:
- Identify and connect with prospective donors and build new relationships.
- Meet with donors, business leaders, community leaders, alumni, and other supporters.
- Discover what matters to people and connect their interests with opportunities to invest in Scouting.
- Develop strategies to engage, cultivate, solicit, and steward donors.
- Solicit philanthropic gifts, generally at the $2,000+ level.
- Prepare and present proposals that connect donor interests with Scouting's impact.
- Consistently achieve leading-indicator goals, including discovery attempts, meetings, and proposals.
- Follow through on commitments and keep relationships moving forward.
- Maintain timely, accurate records and next steps in Raiser's Edge NXT.
- Collaborate with development colleagues and participate in events and community activities. The Person We're Looking For You might be a great fit if you:
