Job Description

The Land Acquisition Manager is responsible for sourcing, evaluating, and securing land opportunities for residential development. This role works closely with landowners, brokers, developers, and internal stakeholders to identify opportunities, support underwriting efforts, and drive deals through the approval process until handoff to the development team.
Hours:
M-F 8am-5pm
Requirements:
HS Diploma, Associates or Bachelor's degree 3+ experience with land acquisition for a developer or homebuilder DFW market knowledge Homebuilder experience (preferred)
Responsibilities:
Landowner Outreach:
Initiate contact with prospective landowners to explore acquisition opportunities.
Site Evaluation:
Conduct field visits to assess potential properties for development suitability.
Financial & Market Analysis:
Prepare financial models (proformas) and collaborate with in-house engineers to evaluate land costs and development feasibility. Conduct market studies to support strategic decision-making.
Cross-Functional Coordination:
Work closely with regional staff and internal departments to align financial margins, development plans, and project timelines.
Acquisition Process Management:
Support the full acquisition lifecycle—from identifying land and submitting Letters of Intent (LOIs), to negotiating contracts and coordinating internal reviews. Transition to
Development:
Once a deal is closed, ensure a smooth handoff to the development team for execution.
Pay:
