Position Summary The Executive Director (ED) serves as the community's top leader, responsible for driving operational excellence, resident satisfaction, and financial performance. As a strategic and hands-on leader, the ED builds a culture of accountability, teamwork, and service that delivers exceptional resident care and a positive, customer-focused experience. The ED ensures all departments—Sales, Marketing, Dining, Nursing, Activities, and Maintenance/Housekeeping—operate in alignment with organizational goals and deliver outstanding results in quality, compliance, and financial outcomes. Key Responsibilities Lead, mentor, and inspire department leaders and staff to achieve community goals. Maintain focus on resident and employee satisfaction while achieving NOI and budget targets. Establish clear priorities and accountability systems across all departments. Oversee financial management, including budget creation, expense control, and performance reporting. Drive occupancy growth through effective sales leadership and community engagement. Ensure compliance with all regulatory and organizational standards. Foster a culture centered on customer service, teamwork, and professional development.
Experience & Qualifications Required:
Bachelor's degree. Minimum of 5 years of senior living, healthcare, or hospitality leadership experience, including 2 years in an executive director or administrative role. Proven record of success managing community budgets and achieving NOI goals. Experience developing and leading high-performing teams aligned with organizational standards. Strong strategic thinking and planning abilities (1-2 year outlook). Demonstrated ability to implement accountability systems for performance and results. Strong computer proficiency with analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
Preferred:
CA Assisted Living Administrator License. Experience utilizing lead management systems and analyzing sales metrics (inquiry-to-tour, tour-to-move-in ratios, etc.). Core Competencies Skilled in mentoring and motivating sales teams while targeting key growth opportunities. Strong communicator with a proven ability to set clear priorities and expectations. Adept at balancing operational excellence with resident and team satisfaction. Excellent listener with the ability to lead with empathy and decisiveness.
