The General Manager is tasked with being the person who maintains that standard for us. We are seeking a dynamic and strategic General Manager to lead and oversee sales and operations at a manufactured home dealership. This role requires a proactive leader with sales and team leadership experience within the manufactured housing industry. The ideal candidate will drive business growth, ensure compliance with housing regulations, and deliver exceptional customer service. You will be responsible for managing daily operations, fostering a motivated team, and maintaining strong relationships with clients, vendors, and regulatory agencies to ensure the dealership's success. You will be the curator of the Baird Homes culture and must also follow our already established systems and processes within our operations and sales departments. Duties Lead all aspects of dealership operations, including sales, operations, service, and administrative functions. Develop and implement strategic plans to meet sales targets and operational goals. Manage budgets, financial reporting, and ensure compliance. Supervise staff members across various departments, providing coaching, training, and conflict management to foster a high-performing team. Ensure adherence to Fair Housing regulations and other legal administrative requirements. Handle client communication effectively through phone etiquette, negotiation skills, and upselling opportunities to maximize revenue. Maintain accurate records through filing systems and data entry while ensuring compliance with legal standards. Coordinate with corporate team on contracts and agreements; manage conflict resolution proactively. Qualifications Proven experience in sales within the manufactured housing or real estate industry. Strong knowledge of computer software and social media marketing tools. Demonstrated ability in team management, customer service excellence, negotiation skills, and conflict resolution. Excellent organizational skills including data entry, filing systems, budgeting, facilities management, and office administration experience. Strong communication skills with professional phone etiquette; ability to handle client inquiries effectively. Ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
