Job Description

Business Manager Summary:
Under the direction of the head of school, oversees fiscal/administrative support, and human resources management. Supervises administrative personnel (school office). Responsible for petty cash disbursements, and/or other related functions. Directly participates in departmental administrative decision making; implements and enforces school policies and procedures. Performs tasks which require advanced skills in organization and planning, in-depth knowledge of campus operations and objectives.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Performs a wide variety of human resources generalist duties including administration, recruitment, compensation and benefits, health and safety, employee relations, and processing and maintenance of employment documents. Ensures compliance with state and federal policies, procedures, and regulations. Supervises administrative personnel which typically includes recommendations for hiring, firing, performance evaluation, training, work allocation, and problem resolution. Oversees petty cash disbursements and purchasing. Oversees accounts payable and accounts receivable and reconciles credit card Coordinates with the CFO on all requested projects, including annual audits. Originates scheduled and special reports, and correspondence. Maintains personnel records. Responsible for executing contracts and signing checks when a second signature is required.
Knowledge, Ability & Skills Required:
Ability to analyze, develop, establish, and maintain efficient workflow and administrative processes. Knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, and cost control procedures. Ability to supervise and train employees, including organizing, prioritizing, and scheduling work assignments. Ability to gather data, compile information, and originate reports. Knowledge of supplies, equipment, and/or services ordering and inventory control. Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing. Ability to analyze and solve problems.
Education and Minimum Experience Required:
Bachelor's degree with directly related management expertise in administration and human resources gained through at least two years of equivalent-level work experience.

$50,000.00 per year
