Job Description

Our new SpringHill Suites by Marriott Dawsonville, GA is searching for an Assistant General Manager to join our team at our new Hotel. Prior hotel experience is a plus, we welcome candidates from across the hospitality industry — including retail, restaurants, resorts, and event venues — who bring strong leadership, operational know-how, and a commitment to exceptional guest service. Marriott hotel experience is a plus.
Key Responsibilities:
Support the General Manager in the day-to-day operations of the hotel. Drive the Opening process which requires Hands on leadership Lead and coach front-line teams to ensure a consistently high standard of guest service across all departments. Assist in managing scheduling, staffing, and employee development. Monitor operational performance and identify opportunities for improvement in efficiency and guest satisfaction. Help oversee inventory, vendor relationships, and cost controls. Ensure compliance with health, safety, and brand standards. Respond to guest feedback and resolve issues with professionalism and care.
Qualifications:
2+ years of experience in a management or supervisory role in the hospitality industry. Marriott experience helpful Strong leadership and team development skills. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving abilities. Highly organized and detail-oriented, with a hands-on leadership style. Willingness to learn hotel operations and systems. Flexible schedule, including availability on nights, weekends, and holidays.
