Full-Time Join One of Georgia's Leading Independent Oncology Practices The Cancer Center of Middle Georgia (CCMG) is seeking an experienced, highly motivated Practice Business Manager to lead the financial and business operations of our growing independent oncology practice. This is a senior leadership position responsible for overseeing the business side of one of the region's premier cancer centers. The successful candidate will work closely with the CEO, Director of Operations, physicians, pharmacy, billing team, and clinical leadership to optimize financial performance, oncology pharmacy operations, revenue cycle, payer contracting, value-based care initiatives, and operational analytics. Primary Responsibilities will include:
Financial Operations Oversee billing, accounts receivable, collections, and revenue cycle performance. Lead regular revenue cycle meetings and identify opportunities to improve reimbursement and reduce denials. Collaborate with providers and clinical teams to optimize documentation, charge capture, and claims resolution. Monitor financial performance metrics and recommend operational improvements. Pharmacy & Oncology Business Operations Oversee oncology drug purchasing, inventory, reimbursement, and formulary management. Partner with pharmacy and nursing leadership to reduce waste and improve operational efficiency. Monitor drug utilization, purchasing trends, and financial performance. Contract Management Manage payer, laboratory, pharmacy, vendor, and service contracts. Monitor renewal deadlines and contractual obligations. Assist with vendor evaluations and implementation of new services. Value-Based Care & Quality Programs Coordinate administrative components of MIPS, BCBS/Anthem quality initiatives, and other value-based reimbursement programs. Ensure quality reporting deadlines are met. Monitor program performance and identify improvement opportunities. Business Analytics Develop operational dashboards and key performance indicators. Analyze financial, pharmacy, operational, and revenue cycle performance. Present business reports and recommendations to executive leadership. Leadership Collaborate with physicians, executive leadership, and department managers. Identify opportunities for workflow improvement and operational efficiency. Participate in strategic planning and organizational growth initiatives. Qualifications Preferred Include Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Nursing, or a related field (or equivalent management experience). Minimum of five years of progressive healthcare management experience. Strong financial, analytical, organizational, and leadership skills. Experience managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced healthcare environment. Preferred Oncology practice experience. Revenue cycle management experience. Oncology pharmacy operations experience. Knowledge of value-based reimbursement programs (MIPS, quality reporting, CMS initiatives). Experience with payer contracting and vendor management.
