Job Description

Temco Logistics is an experienced provider of final-mile delivery services to leading retailers since 1968. Completing more than 6,000 residential, business, job site and commercial deliveries per day, we have a proven track record of success and dependability. As a product of our reoccurring success, Temco Logistics is now partnering with The Home Depot to give clients the Direct from Store experience. Clients will have the ability to order online from their favorite The Home Depot store and their items will be promptly delivered by Temco Logistics !
Responsibilities:
Managers will be required to visit several in-field stores per day to evaluate deliveries. (Start 6:00 AM) Manager must be able respond to all customer complaints, delivery inquires, and escalations with coordination through The Home Depot store associate and/or management within same day of original contact. Manager must be available off-hours to respond to escalated issues from The Home Depot within the same day of original contact. Monitor Technicians goals and metrics, provide assessments, document service failures, and develop correction and improvement plans. Ensure Technicians Uniform adherence. Promote Dock Safety and ensure adherence. Must possess driver/fleet management experience. Must be able to handle multiple drivers/routes in several locations. Communicate customer needs to Drivers, participate in recruitment, development, and retention of drivers through a culture of mutual respect and dedication to providing top-notch customer service. Verify route documentation and confirm all routes are correct prior to dispatch times. Create Technicians schedule and assign routes, reassign Technicians routes day of on DSR. Coordinate fuel needs and preventative maintenance for vehicle fleet. Regularly inspect all vehicles to ensure proper usage and care by Technicians and recommend corrective action as needed. Secure estimates for any vehicle repairs and submit to management for approval. Qualifications and Skills Prefer 3-7 years' experience in Operations and/or Logistics Management/Transportation Deep understanding and knowledge of building and maintaining relationships Bachelor's Degree in business administration or similar field preferred/experience Excellent communication and time management skills desired; attention to detail and ability to analyze and process improve strongly preferred. Demonstrated success in developing and managing employees, creating a quality and service-oriented workplace.
