Job Description

The Director of Staff Engagement and Resources serves as a welcoming, practical resource for Tulane staff across the university. Staff may come to the Director to share ideas and feedback, talk through a workplace concern, or get help understanding how to navigate institutional structures and processes. The role gives employees a way to share feedback, elevating concerns when appropriate, and closing the loop to the extent possible. When an issue calls for action by another university office, the Director helps the employee understand their options and connect with offices best positioned to help. The Director also looks across individual conversations and feedback to identify recurring challenges and opportunities to improve the staff experience. By bringing those themes and practical recommendations to senior leadership, the role helps Tulane respond earlier, communicate more clearly, and build a university community where staff can share their perspectives on an ongoing basis. The position reports to the Vice President for University Relations and Deputy Chief of Staff to the President. Responsibility for investigations, formal complaints, and all other adjudicatory decisions remains with the university offices authorized to handle them.
