Overview We are seeking a dynamic and energetic Assistant General Manager to join our retail management team. In this pivotal role, you will support the overall operations of the store, lead and motivate sales teams, and ensure exceptional customer service. Duties Assist the General Manager in overseeing daily store operations, ensuring smooth and efficient functioning. Lead, supervise, and motivate retail sales teams to meet and exceed sales targets while maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction. Manage employee orientation, training & development programs to foster a knowledgeable and engaged team. Conduct interviewing and recruiting processes to attract top talent; participate in hiring decisions. Oversee inventory control, purchasing, merchandising, stocking, and pricing strategies to maximize profitability. Handle payroll processing, bookkeeping tasks, cash handling, and POS (Point of Sale) system management accurately. Monitor store performance metrics, manage shift schedules, and ensure compliance with company policies and safety standards. Qualifications Common knowledge with Mariott systems such as GXP, Medallia Ability to make schedules. Proven experience in retail management with supervisory or assistant manager roles; previous assistant general manager experience is preferred. Strong management skills with excellent leadership, team management, and managerial communication abilities. Proficiency in POS systems, inventory management software, and basic math skills for retail math calculations. Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to handle phone etiquette professionally. Multilingual or bilingual abilities are a plus to serve diverse customer bases effectively. Demonstrated organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently and manage time effectively. Experience in recruiting, interviewing, employee orientation, training & development, budgeting, and operational management.
