This is an opportunity to make a meaningful impact by leading a talented team, shaping the company's next phase of growth, and enjoying an outstanding quality of life in the Ozarks. The primary responsibility of the General Manager is to drive profitable sales growth. This is accomplished through strong sales leadership, disciplined follow-up, effective marketing oversight, healthy job profitability, operational accountability, and an exceptional customer experience. While the GM should be willing to help wherever necessary, this is a leadership position—not a production or installation role. The GM's job is to lead, manage, measure, improve, and hold the team accountable so each member can perform effectively in their own role. Sales Leadership & Accountability Establish and communicate weekly, monthly, and annual sales goals. Monitor sales performance, close rates, pipeline activity, and estimate follow-up. Ensure established sales procedures are consistently followed. Coach and hold sales personnel accountable for measurable performance. Identify weaknesses in the sales process and implement improvements. Analyze sales by product category, salesperson, lead source, and other relevant metrics. Develop strategies to increase close rates, average sale, repeat/referral business, and profitable sales opportunities. Estimating & Technical Experience — Required The successful candidate must have demonstrated hands-on experience in both of the following residential glass applications: Measuring and quoting residential dual-pane insulated glass unit (IGU) replacement work. Measuring and quoting custom residential shower glass enclosures. This experience is a requirement for the position. Candidates without direct residential glass industry experience in both areas will not be considered. Marketing & Lead Generation Monitor lead volume, lead quality, call-tracking data, and marketing ROI. Adjust marketing efforts and budgets based on measurable results. Develop referral and networking relationships with businesses, real estate professionals, property managers, associations, and other strategic partners. Oversee signage, events, print/direct mail, digital, and other lead-generation efforts. Continually identify opportunities to generate qualified leads. Financial Management & Profitability Review the monthly P&L and identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities. Monitor cash flow, credit lines, vendor balances, and upcoming financial needs. Maintain awareness of break-even and planned-profit targets. Monitor job profitability and use Profit Per Hour (PPH) analysis to identify margin opportunities. Work with the bookkeeper/accountant to ensure accurate financial information is available. Use financial data to guide pricing, staffing, marketing, purchasing, and growth decisions. Operations & Customer Experience Monitor workflow from lead through estimate, sale, scheduling, production/installation, and invoicing. Identify bottlenecks and process problems and lead the team toward solutions. Ensure roles, responsibilities, procedures, safety practices, and training requirements are maintained. Monitor customer satisfaction and address significant concerns promptly. Monitor public reviews and use customer feedback to improve the business. Maintain a culture of exceptional service with a goal of 100% customer satisfaction. Team Leadership Clearly communicate expectations, goals, and responsibilities. Conduct regular team meetings and performance reviews. Coach employees, address performance issues promptly, and recognize strong performance. Identify training needs and coordinate appropriate product, sales, procedural, software, and technical training. Build a positive, professional culture centered on accountability, teamwork, and results. What Success Looks Like The successful General Manager will be measured primarily by the health and growth of the business. Key performance indicators will include sales revenue, gross profit and job profitability, close rate, lead volume and quality, estimate-to-sale conversion, average sale, sales pipeline, marketing ROI, customer satisfaction, online reputation, operational efficiency, employee performance, and overall company profitability. Ideal Candidate Proven experience in the residential glass industry. Required experience measuring and quoting residential IGU replacements and custom residential shower glass enclosures. Strong residential sales and customer relationship skills. Ability to lead a sales team and hold people accountable to measurable results. Comfortable with P&L statements, margins, pricing, and business performance metrics. Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Proactive, decisive, and willing to take ownership of results. Strong customer-service mindset and professional presence. Why Springfield, Missouri?
