Job Description

Position Summary The Executive Director (ED) serves as the chief executive officer of the North Central Missouri Children's Advocacy Center (NCMCAC), providing leadership, direction, and oversight of all organizational functions. The ED is responsible for daily operations, human resources, financial management, program development, multidisciplinary team (MDT) coordination, and community engagement. Working in partnership with the Board of Directors, the Executive Director ensures the organization operates in alignment with its mission, maintains compliance with all applicable regulations and accreditation standards, and delivers high-quality, trauma-informed services to children and families. Primary Responsibilities
  • Organizational Leadership & Operations
  • Direct and oversee all day-to-day operations of NCMCAC.
  • Ensure efficient, effective, and trauma-informed service delivery aligned with CAC standards.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain organizational policies, procedures, and protocols.
  • Maintain a flexible and responsive approach to the needs of clients, staff, and MDT partners.
  • Ensure a safe, professional environment for children, families, staff, and collaborators. Human Resources
  • Oversee all human resource functions, including recruitment, hiring, onboarding, supervision, and retention.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and provide ongoing supervision and support to staff.
  • Promote professional development, staff wellness, and a positive workplace culture.
  • Ensure compliance with employment laws, policies, and ethical standards. Financial Management & Resource Development
  • Oversee all financial operations, including budgeting, expenditures, and financial controls.
  • Prepare and recommend annual and monthly budgets to the Board of Directors.
  • Monitor fiscal performance to ensure sustainability and compliance.
  • Lead fundraising and revenue development efforts, including:
  • Grants and grant management
  • Donations and community support
  • Fundraising events and initiatives
  • Ensure accurate and timely financial and programmatic reporting to funders. Board Relations & Governance
  • Serve as the primary liaison to the Board of Directors and committees.
  • Support board functions, including meetings, reporting, and strategic planning.
  • Provide regular updates on organizational performance, financial status, and program outcomes.
  • Ensure accountability, transparency, and alignment with organizational mission and goals. Multidisciplinary Team & Community Collaboration
  • Maintain strong partnerships with MDT members including law enforcement, child welfare, prosecution, medical, and mental health professionals.
  • Facilitate communication, coordination, and conflict resolution among partners.
  • Coordinate MDT, staff, and volunteer training opportunities.
  • Promote effective case coordination and service integration. Program Oversight & Quality Assurance
  • Oversee development, implementation, and evaluation of CAC programs and services.
  • Ensure compliance with confidentiality standards and proper record management.
  • Monitor service quality, outcomes, and alignment with best practices and accreditation standards. Community Relations & Public Awareness
  • Serve as the primary spokesperson and representative of NCMCAC, unless otherwise designated.
  • Promote community awareness of child abuse issues and CAC services.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with community stakeholders and partners.
  • Expand utilization of CAC services across the region Advocacy & Professional Engagement
  • Participate in local, state, and national organizations related to child advocacy.
  • Stay informed on trends, regulations, and best practices.
  • Advocate for policies and resources that support children and families. Additional Duties
  • Lead special projects, fundraising events, and community initiatives.
  • Represent the organization at public and professional events.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Board of Directors. Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Services or related field required; Master's preferred
  • Minimum of two years of management and supervisory experience
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and administrative skills

Pay:
$60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
