Executive Director

Job Summary The Executive Director is a leadership role responsible for overseeing the strategic direction, operational management, and overall success of the organization. This position requires an individual with strong Housing Authority management skills, Housing Authority experience in program development, and a deep understanding of working with Public Housing residents. The Executive Director will serve as the primary representative of the organization, fostering relationships with community partners, HUD, Housing Authority board members, and staff to ensure mission-driven outcomes. This role demands a proactive leader capable of managing budgets, supervising staff, and guiding program initiatives to enhance service delivery and organizational growth. Duties Provide strategic leadership and set organizational goals aligned with the mission. Oversee program development and ensure programs meet quality standards and compliance requirements. Manage day-to-day operations, including staff supervision, administrative functions, and resource allocation. Develop and maintain relationships with community partners, funders, and stakeholders to support organizational sustainability. Lead budgeting processes, monitor financial performance, and ensure fiscal responsibility. Supervise program managers and staff, fostering a positive work environment focused on professional growth. Advocate for the organization within the community and represent it at public events and meetings. Oversee compliance with all relevant HUD regulations, policies, and accreditation standards. Skills Strong management and leadership abilities with proven experience in program management. Excellent relationship management skills to build partnerships within the community. Solid administrative experience including budgeting, staffing, and organizational planning. Supervising experience with teams of varying sizes in Public Housing. Ability to develop innovative programs that meet community needs while ensuring organizational sustainability. Effective communication skills for engaging diverse stakeholders and representing the organization professionally. Knowledge of social work principles and practices relevant to serving the public.
