Assistant General Manager

Job Description

Assistant General Manager We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Assistant General Manager to join our hospitality management team. In this pivotal role, you will support the overall operations of the hotel, drive revenue growth, and ensure exceptional customer service. Your leadership will inspire the team, optimize daily processes, and uphold our standards of excellence. Responsibilities Assist the General Manager in overseeing daily hotel operations, including front desk, housekeeping, inventory control, and customer service. Lead and motivate the team to achieve revenue targets and deliver outstanding customer experiences. Manage employee orientation, training, and development to foster a high-performing team. Supervise shift management, PMS systems, and cash handling procedures to ensure operational efficiency. Oversee front desk, housekeeping, and inventory management to maximize profitability. Conduct interviewing and recruiting activities to build a talented workforce aligned with company standards. Monitor hotel performance metrics, prepare reports on revenue growth, and assist with budgeting efforts. Ensure compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and operational procedures. Handle customer inquiries and resolve issues promptly to maintain high satisfaction levels. Support payroll processing and bookkeeping tasks as needed for smooth financial operations. Requirements Proven experience in hotel management or assistant manager roles within the hospitality industry. Strong leadership skills with previous supervisory or team management experience. Excellent communication skills, bilingual abilities are a plus. Demonstrated proficiency in negotiation, recruiting, employee orientation, and training & development. Knowledge of PMS systems, inventory management, and hotel math principles. Ability to perform basic math calculations accurately for cash handling, pricing, and bookkeeping tasks. Experience in hospitality environments is preferred but not required. Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively. Strong customer service orientation with phone etiquette and interpersonal skills. Familiarity with operational management including staffing, shift management, and budgeting. Previous assistant manager or managerial experience in hospitality while working with interdepartmental teams is highly desirable. $40,000.00 - $60,710.75 per year
