NOW HIRING FOR 2026-27 SEASONAL POSITIONS
(TEMPORARY) General Manager for our Ice Rink, Heartwood Ice, in Omaha, Nebraska, from October 31, 2026 through January 18, 2027. Additional time prior to opening and after the event closes will also be available. Ideal candidates would be available beginning October 20, 2026 through February 15, 2027.
Location:
Heartwood Park, 301 South 145th, Omaha, Nebraska 68154 Heartwood Park has a new public area known as The Bosque that will host a seasonal ice-skating rink each year. The 2026 winter season will be the third season of Heartwood Ice. As a thank you to the public, Heartwood will provide this experience free of charge. Ice-America is proud to be producing the skating rink at Heartwood Ice! We are looking for strong candidates interested in leading and supporting a team in this fun and exciting seasonal event designed to engage the community during the holiday season. Ice-America, a division of Seaside Ice, LLC, is a creator, producer, and operator of outdoor, temporary ice-skating rinks and ice events. We offer rapid deployment of turn-key portable ice rinks and operations throughout the U.S. and Canada. We create unique entertainment experiences for communities, businesses, and event partners. We are searching for energetic, enthusiastic, hard-working, and customer-focused individuals to be part of our Heartwood Ice team! Applicants must have availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays, with the ability to work up to 59 hours per week during peak operational periods. Local applicants preferred. We are currently hiring for the following positions:
GENERAL MANAGER
We are seeking General Managers with strong leadership experience managing or supervising a team in a fast-paced working environment. Candidates must have strong customer service, communication, written, and organizational skills. Extensive knowledge of the ice-skating industry, rink operations, productions, and/or competitions is preferred. The General Manager serves as a brand ambassador and Company/City representative and must have the ability to build and maintain positive client relationships. Duties include overseeing the day-to-day operations of the temporary holiday ice-skating event; leading and supervising the operations team; overseeing staff practices; managing scheduling and payroll; identifying and eliminating safety hazards; maintaining operational standards; and helping ensure a safe, welcoming, and positive experience for all guests. Candidates must be comfortable working outdoors in various temperatures and weather conditions. CPR/First Aid certifications are preferred but not required. Proficiency in Microsoft Office is preferred.
Compensation dependent upon experience:
$24.00-$27.00/hour ($1,680-$1,890/week).
