Job Description
We are an established company specializing in overhead doors, grilles and specialty fire doors. With a reputation for quality workmanship and reliable delivery, we partner with leading general contractors and developers on commercial and industrial projects. We are seeking an experienced and driven General Manager to lead our operations, manage teams, and drive business growth. Position Overview The General Manager will oversee day-to-day operations, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality and safety standards. This role requires strong leadership, financial acumen, and the ability to build lasting relationships with clients, vendors, and employees. Key Responsibilities Oversee and coordinate all company operations, including project management, estimating, field supervision, and administration. Develop and implement business strategies to drive revenue growth and profitability. Manage financial performance, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost control. Ensure compliance with safety regulations, quality standards, and contractual requirements. Lead, mentor, and develop office staff, project managers, and field crews. Build and maintain strong client and subcontractor relationships. Monitor market trends and identify opportunities for expansion or diversification. Report directly to ownership and provide regular updates on business performance. Qualifications Proven experience (7+ years) in construction management, preferably within a similar subcontracting trade. Strong understanding of construction operations, contracts, estimating, and scheduling. Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams and manage multiple projects. Solid financial management and business development experience. Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving abilities. Proficiency in construction management software and MS Office Suite. Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or related field preferred (or equivalent experience).
