With a strong reputation and loyal customer base, we are seeking a highly skilled and motivated New/Used Car Manager to take our pre-owned vehicle operations to the next level.
Job Summary:
The Used Car Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the used vehicle operations at the dealership, including appraising, purchasing, pricing, marketing, reconditioning, and retailing used vehicles to meet sales targets and profitability goals. The Used Car Manager ensures the used car inventory is maintained at optimal levels, priced competitively, and presented in a way that maximizes customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
Source and acquire used vehicle inventory through auctions, trade-ins, and wholesale channels. Maintain proper inventory levels aligned with dealership sales objectives. Monitor market trends to price inventory competitively. Appraise trade-in vehicles and determine purchase prices. Work with the finance team to secure financing and maximize gross profit. Ensure a positive customer experience by leading the used car sales team with a customer-first mindset. Address and resolve customer concerns and complaints in a professional manner. Monitor sales performance and provide regular feedback. Ensure staff compliance with dealership policies and industry regulations. Develop and execute marketing plans to promote used car inventory. Oversee reconditioning processes to ensure vehicles are front-line ready. Work with service and detail departments to control costs and improve turnaround time. Ensure lot appearance is professional and inviting.
Requirements:
Qualifications:
3+ years of experience in automotive sales management, appraising experience required. Proven experience in automotive sales, preferably with a focus on used vehicles. Strong leadership, negotiation, and communication skills. Understanding of used vehicle market trends, pricing, and inventory management. Proficient in dealership management systems. Proficient knowledge in V auto is a requirement Valid driver's license and clean driving record. Knowledge of automotive reconditioning processes. Excellent negotiation and communication ability.
