General job duties include monitoring the inventory of cannabis product, training customer service, sales, and security staff, and setting standards and protocols for delivering products and services. They will provide leadership and oversight in various departments and work with ownership to monitor the company's progress and growth. Duties Oversee and perform all functions associated with management and oversight of retail medical and adult use marijuana dispensary operating under licensure from the appropriate entity Train dispensary staff to ensure a consistent performance and knowledge base of company standard operating procedures, a comprehensive understanding of all marijuana and marijuana-infused or derived products being sold to customers, and best practices for dispensary personnel Manage and supervise the activities of dispensary staff and make recommendations or decisions regarding hiring, discipline, termination, or advancement of employees Communicate with and coach staff on a regular basis to ensure the dispensary's excellence in service and labor practices within the community Maintain operations plans and implement and manage dispensary policies and procedures Ensure that all procedures are updated in store to provide the best practice for staff and customers Ensure compliance with applicable state and local laws through all stages of the sale of medical and non-medical cannabis Assist the general manager with routine weekly inspections to maintain the accurate inventory of all cannabis product and weekly destruction of returned or damaged cannabis product compliantly Maintain awareness of both external and internal competitive landscape, opportunities for improvement, and industry development Strive for customer satisfaction in all respects and ensure a customer-friendly environment at the dispensary Assisting the general manager by ensuring 100% traceability is maintained on the product from receiving to sale to customer Assisting the general manager by communicating any customer, employee or store incidents or complaints to the Regional Manager, Chief Officer, and Compliance Officer Other duties as assigned by your General Manager, Regional Manager, or Chief Officer Skills Strong recruiting skills to attract top talent for the dispensary team. Proficient in budgeting to manage financial resources effectively. Expertise in inventory management to ensure optimal stock levels. Experience as an assistant manager or in a similar leadership role is preferred. Familiarity with POS systems for efficient transaction processing. Ability to manage stock effectively while minimizing waste. Excellent team management skills to lead a diverse workforce. Capable of developing training programs that enhance employee skills and knowledge. Multilingual abilities are a plus, enhancing communication with diverse clientele. Qualifications and Education Requirements Must be at least 21 years of age Must have a high school diploma, or the equivalent Must have experience in the cannabis industry 2 years of experience in customer service management Experience in understanding inventory management and reconciliation Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals Work history that demonstrates stability, progressive responsibility, and willingness to accept new duties Strong interpersonal communication and conflict resolution skills Excellent customer communication and service skills Ability to maintain a positive and enthusiastic attitude Must have availability to work weekends, mornings, and nights
