Campground Management Location:
Youngstown, Ohio A well-established campground owner and operator is seeking an experienced General Manager to lead a thriving 350-site outdoor hospitality property in Northeast Ohio. This is a leadership opportunity to step into an established operation with support from the current General Manager before transitioning into full ownership of the role. The General Manager will oversee property performance, guest experience, financial results, team leadership, and operational execution while serving both seasonal campers and transient guests. Success in this role requires a hands-on leader who enjoys being visible throughout the property, building strong relationships with guests and team members, driving operational excellence, and creating an exceptional outdoor hospitality experience. What You'll Do Lead day-to-day operations across the property, including lodging, campsites, retail, recreation, and guest services Own overall property performance, including revenue, labor, expenses, occupancy, and budget execution Oversee the guest experience by maintaining exceptional service standards, resolving escalated concerns, and protecting the property's reputation Lead, develop, and support on-site staff while fostering a culture of hospitality, accountability, and safety Manage seasonal operations, including pre-season ramp-up and off-season shutdown/winterization Monitor operational performance and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, guest satisfaction, and financial results Partner with facilities and maintenance leadership to ensure the property meets safety, compliance, and brand standards What We're Looking For 3+ years of experience leading operations within hospitality, resorts, campgrounds, RV parks, or a related customer-focused environment Campground or RV experience is preferred, but also open to candidates with a strong hospitality background and a genuine passion for camping and outdoor recreation Experience managing multi-department teams with ownership of operational and financial results Strong financial acumen with experience managing budgets, labor, and performance metrics Proven ability to deliver an exceptional guest experience while leading a hands-on, seasonal team Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills Experience with reservation management systems or OTA platforms is preferred Willingness to work weekends, holidays, and peak seasons as needed Why This Opportunity Lead one of Northeast Ohio's premier outdoor hospitality properties Step into a key leadership role with a structured transition alongside the current General Manager Own the operational and financial performance of a 350-site outdoor hospitality property serving both seasonal campers and transient guests Have meaningful autonomy to influence guest experience, team culture, and property performance Join a supportive, collaborative organization focused on long-term success Competitive compensation package including base salary, performance-based incentives, health insurance, vision and dental coverage, 401k with employer match, and paid time off Confidential search conducted by a third-party recruiting firm.
