Job Description
This position will manage the day to day operations of KNCT-FM . Bachelor's degree from a regionally or nationally accredited institution in an appropriate technical or business field required. Three years management experience (or comparable in radio broadcast stations, preferably in non-commercial radio stations), five years experience preferred. One year supervisory experience required. Demonstrated experience in station development, programing and digital services. Demonstrated experience in station and on- line technical expertise preferred. Experienced and knowledgeable of FCC Rules and Regulations relating to noncommercial station operations required Experienced and knowledgeable of CPB policies relating to radio operations required. Demonstrated ability to develop and manage an annual operating budget Excellent oral and written communication skills Oversee the operations of the College's online radio station and assume responsibility for all services and programming provided by KNCT-FM and its associated online activities. Prepare and provide direction for the station's annual operating budget; prepare and submit all required FCC and CPB reports; and recommend equipment replacements and acquisitions. Direct the duties of department managers of the radio station Seek out sources of additional funding from corporate and major station donors as well as prepare grant applications as needed. Maintain direction for all station on-air fund-raising activities including all locally produced radio programming. Maintain direction for the stations streaming and on-line activities to include all social media activities associated with the station. Work closely with the academic department to maximize learning activities students enrolled in the broadcasting department. Work closely with the college marketing department to promote events and activities of the college. Maintain relationships with communities within college district and represent the station at community functions. Maintain relationships with various college departments, faculty and students to further the mission of Central Texas College.
