Assistant Manager Planet Fitness - 3.3 Seattle, WA Job Details Full-time $22 - $24 an hour 1 day ago Benefits Health insurance Dental insurance Employee discount Gym membership Safety equipment provided Qualifications Computer operation Phone communication Computer literacy High school diploma or GED Conflict management Productivity software Full Job Description The Assistant Manager is responsible for supporting the General Manager in leading gym operations to ensure a high-quality "Judgement Free" member experience, strong team performance, and overall club success. This includes managing staff, upholding customer service standards, assisting in reporting and inventory, and supporting all aspects of facility operations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Assist with the recruitment, hiring, onboarding, and development of Member Service Representatives, Trainers, and Custodians. Support staff scheduling and performance management, ensuring team coverage and operational readiness. Ensure superior customer service is delivered consistently by all staff. Resolve or escalate staff or member concerns in a timely and professional manner. Support front desk operations, including: Answering calls and assisting members. Member check-ins and account maintenance. New member sign-ups and club tours. Responding to and resolving member issues and requests. Oversee facility cleanliness and maintenance; address or report deficiencies. Help manage club inventory and order supplies in accordance with budget and club needs. Track and analyze key metrics and assist with report generation (weekly, monthly, annual). Provide shift coverage and operational support during staff absences. Assume full management responsibilities one weekend per month. Maintain dependable and predictable attendance.Qualifications and Requirements:
High school diploma or GED required. Must be at least 18 years old. Prior experience as a Member Services Representative at Planet Fitness preferred. CPR certification (or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire) required. Exceptional customer service and leadership skills. Basic computer proficiency (Microsoft Office or equivalent). Strong communication, interpersonal, and conflict resolution skills. Enthusiastic, dependable, and able to lead by example. Enforceable Physical Requirements (ADA-Compliant): Must be able to stand and walk continuously for up to 8 hours per shift , with or without reasonable accommodation. Must be able to bend, stoop, reach, and move throughout the facility regularly , including during inspections, cleaning, and support tasks. Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs occasionally (e.g., supplies, equipment); reasonable accommodations will be made as needed. Must be able to communicate effectively in-person and by phone , including in noisy or busy environments. May occasionally be required to use step stools or ladders while following safety protocols. May encounter cleaning chemicals and disinfectants ; PPE will be provided, and safety training is required. Must possess sufficient visual and auditory abilities to monitor activity, assess cleanliness, and ensure safety standards.Similar remote jobs
