•$69,896.74 No Driver's License required. A.A, degree in English, Communications, Business administration, Accounting, or related field required. Bachelor's degree in related field preferred. 2 years of experience with grant writing closely related experience is required. 3-5 years of experience in budget or grant management required. Ability to maintain accurate data and record keeping is required. Strong writing and editing abilities for proposals, processes, and reports required. Ability to think critically and interpret grant requirements and grant guidelines required. Ability to manage multiple deadlines required. Knowledge of computer applications to include word processing, Access, Excel and Microsoft Outlook is required. Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing is required. Ability to work independently and establish priorities is required. Attention to detail and accuracy is required. Ability to establish professional and harmonious working relationships on all projects and with all parties involved. Subject to drug and alcohol testing in accordance with the Fond du Lac Reservation's Personnel Policies. Subject to pre-employment and annual background checks. Subject to immunization review and submitted proof of required vaccinations. Some travel may be required.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Normal physical requirements. Collaborate closely with Program Accounting staff, the Planning Division, and other program teams to support effective grant operations and ensure alignment across departments. Provide technical assistance and guidance to staff on grant administration, development, compliance requirements, and unique proposal expectations from governmental agencies and funding partners. Ensure all grants comply with applicable local, state, and federal regulations, provisions, and reporting requirements. Maintain a comprehensive grant calendar, track reporting schedules and submission deadlines, and monitor timely, accurate data entry for all required state, federal, and funder reports. Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date grant records in tracking systems and databases; review data for errors or discrepancies and collaborate with staff to resolve issues promptly. Develop and implement quality review processes to ensure grant proposals and related documentation are complete, accurate, and compliant with all funding requirements. Assist with the preparation of grant budgets, renewal submissions, reports, and supporting documentation. Support internal routing processes for grants and contracts to ensure timely internal approvals. Participate in site visits with sponsoring agencies to support monitoring, compliance, and program oversight. Learn and maintain knowledge of relevant state and federal grant portals. Attend Planning Division staff meetings. Appropriate work attire is required. Must attend all mandatory department trainings. Ensures confidentiality of financial records and all records for employees and/or clients. Displays a responsive and professional manner in promptly responding to all requests, complaints, and problems. Recognizes that each employee is a representative of the Fond du Lac Band of Lake Superior Chippewa and is responsible for demonstrating courtesy, respect, and sensitivity to the needs of all others, including visitors and co-workers. Represents the Fond du Lac Band of Lake Superior Chippewa and the department in a positive and professional manner in the community. Required to maintain proper attendance including reporting to work on time in accordance with applicable policies. Maintains a clean and organized work area. Due to changes and modifications in the job from time to time, employees are required to be flexible and assume other responsibilities assigned by management as deemed necessary.
