Job Description

Plans and organizes special programs in the Math, Sciences, & Engineering Divisions for the Honeywell STEM Scholars Academy. This is a grant funded position. Develops and implements a comprehensive, strategic marketing plan for student population; develops relationships with related community organizations for student recruitment; effectively communicates information about courses, programs and student eligibility criteria. Maintains and updates grant-related materials, including flyers and brochures. Promotes the development of personal traits and work ethic necessary for student success in general education coursework; counsels students as necessary. Interfaces with information systems to maintain databases and utilizes the Internet to evaluate student eligibility in accordance with audit requirements. Maintains complete student records in compliance with audit guidelines; ensures required records and documentation from students and faculty are included for reporting; collaborates with other related programs to ensure compliance. Submits reports, develops professional correspondences and attends conferences as needed. May participate in the selection/orientation of instructors and peer tutors; coordinates instructor and peer tutor support for students. Prepares documentation for the origination of classes; schedules dates, rooms and tutoring sessions; reviews class schedule for accuracy. Works with instructors in applicable disciplines to enhance student learning experiences. Monitors program offerings and recommends additions, changes, deletions based on student needs. Develops assessment tools to report on program outcomes and effectiveness of grant. Performs other duties as assigned. Bachelor's Degree from a regionally accredited institution in a science, technology, engineering, mathematics (STEM), health science or related discipline.
Preferred Qualifications :
Prior experience in coordinating student success focused projects and/or teaching experience in a STEM or health science discipline.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Worker Characteristics :
Knowledge of principles and contextualized curriculum as related to the grant Knowledge of database management and/or spreadsheet application Strong communication skills Ability to work with individuals from diverse backgrounds Ability to demonstrate teamwork, adaptability, and effective time management through student interactions
Working Conditions :
Typical office environment; infrequently lifting and carrying items up to 10 lbs.; infrequently twisting or bending at the waist or reaching overhead; infrequently traveling between buildings on campus or to other campuses; frequently listening to and talking with students, faculty and other staff members either in person or by telephone; frequently sitting at a desk or workstation using a computer display, keyboard, and mouse •Grant Funded• Part Time Grant Coordinator- Math, Sciences, & Engineering Grant expected end date 12/17/2027
