Budget Manager, College of Education Lipscomb University United States, Tennessee, Nashville 1 University Park Drive (Show on map) Jul 25, 2026 Description The College of Education is seeking an administrative professional to provide administrative/budget support in the office of the COE Dean. The successful candidate will demonstrate background skills in college budget management and communications.
Specific Responsibilities and Tasks:
1.
College Budget Management:
Review Responsibility Reports for College of Education programs and departments Compare report with monthly transaction log for each department Identify and report discrepancies to Dean, Director of Academic Finances Work with the Director of Academic Finances to resolve discrepancies and implement corrective actions. Prepare and distribute monthly budget reports to Program Directors, including: Transaction logs Budget balances Expenditure summaries Assist the Dean and Program Directors in monitoring budgets and tracking expenditures across academic programs, partnerships, grants, and special initiatives. 2. Day to Day support for college and college departments/programs Provide budget and administrative support to College of Education departments and programs. Prepare and submit journal entries, check deposits, and other budget-related documentation. Monitor departmental accounts payable and receivable. Maintain accurate records and documentation related to budget transactions and account activity. 3. Management of Contracts Coordinate with faculty and university offices regarding the budgetary aspects of contracts and partnership agreements. Establish and monitor corresponding budget accounts associated with contracts and partnerships. Maintain accounts receivable and track payments associated with College of Education partnerships. Monitor partnership account activity and provide reports as requested. 4. Grant and Scholarship Account Management Oversee grant and scholarship account activity to ensure revenues and expenses are accurately allocated. Monitor grant and scholarship balances and assist with budget reporting requirements. Work with university offices to ensure compliance with applicable institutional procedures related to grant and scholarship funds. 5. Faculty and Adjunct Compensation Reconcile and submit faculty and adjunct payments as well as maintain accounts receivables for College of Education partnerships Maintain documentation related to faculty and adjunct payments. Coordinate with university offices to ensure timely and accurate processing of payments. 6. Perform other related duties as assigned in support of the
College of Education Qualifications:
