Job Description

We are looking for an Inventory Clerk to join a design studio on a contract basis. In this role, you will help keep textile samples, materials, and related inventory accurate, organized, and easy for the team to access. This position supports daily studio operations by maintaining order across sample storage, assisting with incoming materials, and contributing to a positive experience for both colleagues and visiting clients.
Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the organization of the textile sample storage area so materials are clearly identified, neatly arranged, and easy to retrieve.
  • Enter newly received samples into the inventory system by scanning, recording, and updating item details accurately.
  • Monitor stock levels across samples and materials, then coordinate replenishment when supplies begin to run low.
  • Prepare and gather sample selections for designers as needed to support presentations and client-facing meetings.
  • Welcome studio visitors in a courteous and helpful manner while maintaining a tidy and well-organized environment.
  • Receive incoming deliveries, inspect materials, and place items in the appropriate storage locations promptly.
  • Use ladders safely to access shelving and arrange inventory stored at different heights throughout the studio.
  • Provide day-to-day support on additional inventory, operational, or administrative tasks as priorities shift.
