Position Summary The Receiver is responsible for overseeing the receiving, inspection, storage, and inventory control of all food, beverage, and operational supplies. This role ensures all deliveries meet Company quality standards, purchase specifications, and food safety requirements while maintaining accurate inventory records and supporting efficient kitchen operations. The Receiver partners closely with culinary and restaurant leadership to protect product quality, control costs, and maintain organized storage areas. Role Responsibilities Receive, inspect, and verify all incoming food, beverage, and operational deliveries for quality, quantity, accuracy, and compliance with Company specifications and purchase orders. Ensure all deliveries meet Milos quality standards, food safety requirements, and purchasing specifications prior to acceptance. Verify invoices, packing slips, and purchase orders, documenting and communicating discrepancies, shortages, damaged goods, and returns. Organize, label, rotate, and store all products in accordance with Company standards and FIFO inventory practices. Maintain accurate receiving records, inventory documentation, and temperature logs. Monitor inventory levels and communicate shortages, discrepancies, or product concerns to culinary and restaurant leadership. Assist with inventory counts, stock reconciliation, and month-end inventory processes. Maintain clean, organized, and secure receiving, storage, refrigeration, and dry storage areas. Coordinate with vendors regarding deliveries, product quality concerns, credits, and returns. Support kitchen operations by ensuring products are properly received, stored, and readily available for service. Ensure compliance with Company policies, food safety, sanitation, HACCP, and all applicable health and safety regulations. Safely operate receiving equipment and report maintenance or safety concerns as needed. Foster a culture of organization, accountability, and operational excellence. Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned by a supervisor. Knowledge, Experience & Skills 2+ years of receiving, inventory, warehouse, or restaurant operations experience, preferably within upscale hospitality or food service. High school diploma or equivalent required. Experience receiving and handling perishable food products preferred. Working knowledge of inventory control, FIFO inventory practices, food storage, and receiving procedures. Ability to accurately verify purchase orders, invoices, packing slips, and inventory records. Basic computer proficiency; experience with inventory management or purchasing systems preferred. Strong organizational, time management, and attention-to-detail skills. Excellent communication and teamwork skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments. Ability to prioritize tasks and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Ability to work a flexible schedule, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays. Physical Requirements Ability to perform the essential functions of the position safely and effectively. Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the shift. Ability to frequently bend, lift, carry, reach, push, and pull throughout the workday. Ability to lift and carry up to 75 lbs. Ability to work in refrigerated, freezer, and storage environments. Ability to safely operate receiving equipment as needed. Compensation The hourly pay range for this position is $20-$24 per hour.
