_INDEED Our client is seeking a dedicated and organized Supply Clerk to ensure the availability of high-quality hospital supplies and equipment. In this role, you will manage incoming deliveries, maintain accurate inventory records, and ensure that our nursing units and departments have the necessary materials to provide excellent patient care. This is a vital role in the organization that directly supports the staff in providing high-quality patient care. Responsibilities Receiving, Stocking & Delivery:
Receive and inspect vendor deliveries against purchase orders; maintain organized storage; break down bulk items (such as under-pads, briefs, gloves, and paper); fill requisitions and deliver supplies to nursing units and departments in a timely manner.
Inventory Management:
Conduct daily physical inventory counts; monitor low-stock levels and prepare replenishment lists; perform end-of-fiscal-year counts and maintain accurate stock records.
Documentation & Posting:
Maintain supply location records; process requisitions; monitor invoices for accuracy (quantity, description, and unit cost); and prepare new requisitions as needed.
Equipment Maintenance:
Ensure delivered equipment is clean and functional; rotate stock to prevent expiration.
Vendor Relations:
Contact vendors regarding pricing, availability, and delivery times.
Qualifications Education/Experience:
At least 6 months of general clerical work experience that demonstrates proficiency in arithmetic (multiplication/division) and following oral/written instructions.
Specialized Experience:
At least 6 months of experience in storekeeping practices, methods, and inventory record-keeping procedures.
Skills:
Ability to compare words and numbers quickly and accurately; proficiency with basic math (including decimals); ability to create documents and spreadsheets; and comfort with computer data entry.
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to lift and carry moderately heavy packages 50lbs ongoing. Applicants must be physically able to perform essential duties. Some positions may require operating a light motor vehicle or learning to operate a forklift.
