Role:
The Inventory position at our Zionsville, IN store s a critical role focused on managing and maintaining accurate inventory records to ensure seamless store operations. The successful candidate will oversee the receipt, storage, and distribution of merchandise, ensuring that stock levels are optimized to meet customer demand without overstocking. This role requires meticulous attention to detail to track inventory movements and reconcile discrepancies promptly. The Inventory associate will collaborate closely with the sales and logistics teams to support efficient product flow and timely replenishment. Ultimately, this position contributes directly to the store's operational efficiency and customer satisfaction by maintaining an organized and well-stocked inventory system.
Minimum Qualifications:
Basic experience with inventory management or stock handling. Ability to operate inventory software and basic computer applications. Ability to stand for long periods of time. This is a standing position. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and move merchandise as required.
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous retail or warehouse inventory experience. Familiarity with barcode scanning and inventory tracking technology. Experience using advanced inventory management systems. Knowledge of safety protocols related to inventory storage and handling. Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members.
Responsibilities:
Receive and inspect incoming shipments to verify accuracy and quality of merchandise. Organize and store inventory in designated locations to maximize space and accessibility. Conduct regular inventory counts and audits to maintain accurate stock records. Identify and report inventory discrepancies or damages to management for resolution. Coordinate with sales and logistics teams to ensure timely replenishment of stock. Maintain cleanliness and safety standards within the inventory storage areas. Utilize inventory management software to update stock levels and generate reports. Assist in preparing inventory for promotional events or seasonal changes.
