Procures supplies, equipment, and services used throughout the center Help to prepare cases for the next day Acts as an integral part of the surgery center to promote cooperation and coordination among all departments and outside vendors Demonstrates a clear understanding of the supply acquisition process and proper handling and storage of sterile supplies Responsible for physical inventories and cycle counts as assigned Assist with expiration date monitoring and removal of expired products Develops, monitors, and maintains each department's supply par levels including the "specials cabinets" Restocks as well as rotate inventory to maintain appropriate inventory levels Confirms accuracy of delivered orders and invoices Assemble and prepare equipment, supplies or other items as needed Complete and document the required generator inspection weekly Receives all supplies, and distributes to the appropriate department Identifies suppliers and can agree on delivery or inventory options with the guidance of the Center Leader Ability to cope with stressful situations and maintain a calm and professional demeanor Understands and uses inventory management program to its fullest capability for purchasing and inventory activity Monitors and maintains center's air/gas service, formaldehyde/glutaraldehyde supply and monitoring, and equipment/instrument repair services Customer service oriented and sensitive to the special demands of the surgical team Responds in a timely manner to supply requests with prioritization of tasks to effectively meet center needs Reviews case implant records and orders restock Effective written and verbal communication skills Ability to maintain the strictest levels of confidentiality Open for additional duties as deemed necessary by immediate supervisor Regular and predictable attendance Performs other miscellaneous duties as assigned
