Inventory Associate - Cannabis Dispensary

About the Role The Inventory Associate supports the day-to-day inventory operations of the dispensary under the direction and supervision of the General Manager. This position is responsible for assisting with the receiving, counting, organizing, labeling, stocking, and tracking of cannabis and cannabis products. The Inventory Associate follows established procedures and completes inventory-related tasks as assigned by dispensary management. The ideal candidate is reliable, organized, and detail-oriented, with an interest in learning about cannabis and dispensary operations. They are comfortable performing routine inventory tasks, following established procedures and instructions, and working both independently and as part of a team. They take pride in keeping products and work areas organized and understand the importance of accuracy in a regulated environment. Key Responsibilities Inventory Tasks Assist with receiving cannabis and non-cannabis deliveries in accordance with the Company's Standard Operating Procedures. Follow established procedures for the receiving, handling, storage, tracking, and movement of cannabis and cannabis products. Enter or update inventory information in the Company's point-of-sale, inventory, and seed-to-sale tracking systems as directed. Complete required inventory documentation and other assigned administrative tasks accurately, in a timely manner, and as instructed. Maintain the cleanliness and organization of all cannabis inventory in the product storage room, including green waste, returns, and other non-saleable cannabis. Assist with scheduled physical inventory counts as directed by the General Manager. Assist management with inventory reconciliation and other inventory-related tasks. Promptly report any differences between physical inventory and system records to the General Manager. Immediately report suspected inventory discrepancies, loss, theft, damage, or other concerns to management. Assist dispensary staff with product availability and inventory-related questions as needed. Assist with organization, cleaning, and other routine operational tasks as assigned. Assist with opening and closing inventory procedures as assigned. Follow all Company policies, standard operating procedures, Maryland cannabis regulations and instructions provided by management. Maintain the security and confidentiality of cannabis products, inventory information, and Company records. Perform other duties as assigned by the General Manager. Qualifications Must be 21 years of age or older. Must successfully complete all required onboarding and be able to pass a background check and receive MCA Agent approval. Previous inventory, warehouse, retail, cannabis, or related experience preferred. Strong attention to detail, communication and organizational skills. Ability to accurately count, organize, and record inventory. Willingness and ability to learn new systems and processes. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and established procedures. Ability to perform administrative tasks with accuracy and in a timely manner. Basic computer skills and ability to learn point-of-sale and inventory systems. Reliable attendance and punctuality. Ability to work effectively as part of a team and under the direction of management. Ability to maintain confidentiality and follow Company policies and procedures. Physical & Work Environment Ability to stand and walk for extended periods during shifts. Ability to regularly lift, carry, and move products and supplies in accordance with applicable safety procedures. Ability to perform repetitive tasks such as counting, organizing, labeling, stocking, and moving products. Ability to work in a retail environment with employees, customers, and vendors. Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
