Job Description
Storeroom Clerk - 01024842 Description Weyerhaeuser is seeking a talented, organized, and safety-conscious Storeroom Clerk to join the team at Greenville Lumber, Grifton, NC. As a Storeroom Coordinator, you will support the maintenance and operations teams to facilitate and improve storeroom systems and processes with a high level of energy, commitment, and follow through to help us achieve and exceed our commitments around safety, reliability, quality, and innovation. Key Functions Participate in maintenance planning to ensure parts are available when they are required Work closely with vendors and suppliers in partnership to maintain critical target inventories and replenishment stock Maintain ethical and appropriate business relationships with vendors and suppliers Perform with a high level of initiative and constructive participation in storeroom and maintenance activities including receiving, inspection, storing, issuing, kitting, sourcing, ordering, shipping, obsolescence, critical spares, credit card reconciliation and computerized inventory accuracy and controls Manage PPE and janitorial supply onsite inventory Facilitate shipments and documentation Coordinate and resolve payment issues with suppliers and accounts payable Assist with training to ensure compliance with storeroom/site policies and procedures Maintain a safe, neat, clean and environmentally responsible work area Be an active member of the site Cost Team, maximizing efficiencies and securing the best cost structure available Work with procurement to be knowledgeable of delivery commitments and proactively investigate alternate sources of supply Qualifications Previous forklift operation experience Demonstrated commitment to safe work behaviors and experience ensuring compliance with safety initiatives, company guidelines, and legal requirements Advanced computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook Excellent interpersonal, written, verbal, and electronic communication skills Ability to adapt to and effectively communicate with a diverse team and various communication styles Demonstrated ability to build and maintain positive relationships with employees, vendors, etc. Ability to multi-task and thrive in a busy, fast-paced work environment Able to perform all essential functions of an industrial environment, including lifting 2-20 pounds regularly, lifting up to 50 pounds occasionally, climbing steps/ladders, working from heights, standing or walking for 2-3 hours at a time for 10 hours or more, working in extreme temperatures, dust, and noise while wearing all safety equipment Flexible with schedule and able to work any shift, weekends, overtime, and holidays as needed Successful completion of background check and post-offer pre-employment drug screen
