The Sr Inventory Control Clerk is primarily responsible for counting and reporting inventory daily. Count all inventory in all areas of the warehouse to include Freezer, Refrigeration and Dry. Other responsibilities include completing daily damage reports and counts requested by Supply Chain Services. File paperwork for receiving department and schedule appointments for inbound freight as needed via phone and/or e-mail.

Inventory Control QA point person. Maintain and file all assigned inventory reports, follow up and disposition. Communicate and work with Chain & Program Management on product concerns. Report and follow up on incoming product QA concerns via established tools and procedures. Prepare, enter and maintain timely records and supporting documentation of product claims. Review receiving paperwork for compliance, report findings. Back up for ordering of produce and chicken, create and change PO's. Release transfer requests to Warehouse and Transportation. Daily inspect product returning on routes. Audit documentation, codes and product integrity. Determine disposition of product returning on route and in return areas, update documentation and return codes. Communicate with Customer Service and Transportation, as needed. Back up and cover all areas in Inventory Control department, as needed. Other duties may be assigned. Qualifications you'll bring as aSr Inventory Control Clerk:
Have a High School Diploma or Equivalent. Have 1 - 2 years of related experience in Inventory Control and/or Quality Assurance in a food distribution facility preferred. Have strong interpersonal and customer service skills. Must possess good analytical and mathematical skills as they relate to inventory reconciliation. Exceptional time management skills. Can meet tight deadlines with little margin for error and work well under pressure with minimum supervision. Computer knowledge required, experience in MS Office (Excel, Outlook, Word, etc.) Must be detail oriented with excellent verbal and written communication skills. This position requires the ability to read, write, and understand English at a level sufficient to perform job-related tasks effectively and safely. This includes understanding work instructions, safety protocols, and communications essential to the role.
