Job Description
Pay Rate Starting at: Level $13.00/ hr Rates of pay are determined by previous experience and labor contract seniority.
SUMMARY
The mission of all Tops associates is to adhere to the Tops vision of providing a friendly neighborhood store that saves the customer time and money. Receiver is responsible for inspecting, counting, and verifying all merchandise coming into the store, including controlling the traffic flow of deliveries through priority, damage processing, and maintaining a clean and safe area.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Follow all company policies regarding receiving operations, safety and sanitation
Complete all necessary paperwork relating to Receiving (KLT for damages)
Maintain shrink control procedures through verification, costs/retails of vendor deliveries, checking credits leaving the store, processing damages, utilizing DSD computer, and securing store stamps
Communicate and give direction regularly to store vendors
Use proper recycling procedures to include refuse, cardboard, and plastic
Maintain proper salvage procedures, including pallets, crates, totes, bins, bales and proper loading of salvage trailer
Ensure safe and clean work area, including sweeping, mopping, and clearing all unsafe conditions
Maintain all backroom equipment (pallet jacks, walkie stacker), including daily maintenance reports
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Must be at least 18 years of age
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Ability to read, write, and perform basic math functions
Possess basic computer skills
Possess strong communication skills

Baler/compactor (must be 18 years of age)
Case cutter (must be 16 years of age)
Pallet jacks (must be 18 years of age)
Marking gun
Computer
DSD Computer
DSD Scanner
Walkie Stacker (must be 18 years of age)
Ladder (must be 18 yrs of age)
